Alexander KNIBBS
Sporting hero
His father, Harold KNIBBS (no mean singer himself), taught Alex to swim at the age of four. Ever since then he has keenly followed his son's sporting achievements with pride. Along the way, Alex has taken part in various Biathlons, Triathlons and Quadraphons, always recording respectable times. Below is a list of his many achievements - supplied as you might have guessed by Harold, who says that Alex will never forgive him for doing so!

Awarded Quarter Mile certificate by Peter CADBURY at the age of five
BT National 5,000 metres Swimathon winner seven out of ten years
British and European Masters Swim Record holder
One-hour Postal Swim - winner several years in succession
Youngest holder of the Royal Life-Saving Society Bronze Medal aged just 12
Britsh Life-Saving Individual champion in 1982 and again in 1985
Member of UK Life-Saving Team 1990 -1995
Warwickshire Life-Saving champion several years in succession - record breaking ten out of eleven years
Marathons
