PANEL WITH FACES

EKTA mosaic in Newlands Shopping Centre erected 18th October 2003 and unveiled by identical twins Helen and Frances STROUD, three times great granddaughters of William's twin Ann and by Philip SAWFORD MP

PANEL WITH FACES:  This panel shows a variety of hands in different positions each holding or shielding a ball.  One ball represents the world, the hand in front of it has a globe containing a heart and represents our ability to spread love and enlightenment.  The hand holding the ball with the gold spiral on it represents the long road of history and the importance of handing on knowledge to future generations.  There is also a hand holding a ball which is made of feathers: if thrown each feather has the ability to travel far and falls gently.
