ROTELLINI, JOAN FRANCES, "JOANIE", 55 - of Egg Harbor City, died at home on Sunday, October 12, 2003. Joanie, as she was known to those who loved her, was born at the Naval Hospital in Memphis Tennessee to her parents, William and Cecelia Halley in 1948. She was a 1966 graduate of Oakcrest High School.
Mrs. Rotellini began a life-long career in education working for the Hamilton Township Board of Education. She was perhaps best known as a special education teacher's aide for the Egg Harbor City Board of Education, where her dedication to her students drove her to teach herself Braille for a little girl named Sammy. Joanie's dedication to her students was surpassed only by her devotion to her family, especially as "Mom-Mom" to her granddaughter, Cori. In addition, Joanie worked at the ACME and Dr. Pantano's office in Egg Harbor City and for the AtlantiCare After-School program.
Mrs. Rotellini is predeceased by her father, William Halley (1979). She is survived by her husband, Edward "Buzzy" Rotellini of Egg Harbor City; her mother, Cecelia Halley of Mays Landing; her son, Corey Rotellini (Donna Marie) of Galloway Township; riends and students.
A viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2003 at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor City (609-965-0357), where her funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
