Louis married (1) Marie LEMIRRE on 1 May 1827 in St. Jean Baptist, De Nicolet, Canada.

51 F Marie LEMIRRE was the daughter of Antoine LEMIRRE, Farmer and Angelique Orion DITTE CHAMPAGNE . Marie was born on 6 September 1809 in Nicolet, Canada. She died on 4 September 1835 in Nicolet, Canada.

Marie Lemirre is assumed with great certainty to be the mother of Louis OZIOS , born 1833, who came to the U.S. after having been raised by his uncle in Canada. His father, Louis, born 1801 had come to the U.S. earlier after his wife (Louis' mother, Marie Lemirre) and daughter had died. Louis, born 1833 found his father's new Wisconsin family and learned that they knew nothing of him. His father, Louis, born 1801 had died some years earlier (1855).   Incidentally, the new family also contained a son Louis (born 1842).

July 18, 1842 Alex was a witness to the marriage of Louis Ozios and Marguerite Demarais. In his Mexican War record, Knowlton's Company, July 10, 1846, he was described as having gray eyes, black hair, dark complexion, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 31 years old and a laborer. Born in Canada, present home Prairie du Chien.

January 13, 1850 Alex Charles and Henriette Guyonne were godparents at the christening of Lila, Louis and Marguerite's daughter.

On March 5, 1855 he challenged the will of Louis Ozios born 1801 who died at Prairie du Chien.   They were first cousins.



Alexis married Ursule DEMARAIS on 5 January 1852 in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
