First Generation

1 M   Samuel  PENFIELD was born about 1651 in Lynn, Massachusetts.  He married Mary LEWIS  November 1675 and he died 30 November 1710/1711 in Guilford, Connecticut. 
 
11 F   Mary LEWIS  was born  1652 in Malden, Massachusetts.  She was the daughter of John Lewis, born perhaps in Wales and Mary BROWNE.  They married 10 April 1650. John died 16 September 1657 in Malden.  Mary (LEWIS) died 30 January 1741 in Guilford, Connecticut.
      

Second Generation  

 
2 M    Samuel  PENFIELD, Jr.   (Samuel1)  was born 17 September 1676, Lynn, Massachusetts.  He married 4 May 1731 at Bristol, Rhode Island  to Hannah SHEPARD.  Samuel  died  1714 in Guilford, Connecticut.
  
21 F Hannah SHEPARD. Hannah was born 1677 in Massachusetts

Third Generation  

  
3 M Nathaniel PENNFIELD (Samuel, Jr.2, Samuel1)who was born  10 February 1706 in Bristol, Rhode Island. He married Hannah COWLES 4 May 1731. Nathaniel died in Meriden, Connecticut 5 January 1776 1681 in Guilford, Connecticut and died 18 April  1747.  
 
31 F Hannah COWLES was born 11 Apr 1706 in Wallingford, Connecticut. She died 5 Jun 1777.

Fourth Generation  

  
4 M Nathaniel PENNFIELD (Nathaniel 3, Samuel, Jr.2, Samuel1) Nathaniel was born 6 Apr 1732 in of Wallingford, Connecticut. He died 18 May 1777 in small-pox, Meriden, Conn.. He married Lydia BARNES 9 Jan 1755..  
 
41 F Lydia BARNES was the daughter of Thomas BARNES and Hannah DAY. Thomas Barnes, Deacon was born 21 Jun 1703 in New Haven, of Hartford, Connecticut. He died about 1744 in Southington ?, Connecticut. He married Hannah DAY (born 2 Feb 1700/1701.) 19 May 1726.

Fifth Generation  

  
5 M Nathaniel PENNFIELD (Nathaniel 4,  Nathaniel 3, Samuel, Jr.2, Samuel1) Nathaniel was born 20 March, 1784 in Newington, Connecticut He married in 1806 to Sarah RAY. Nathaniel died  15 November 1861. 1755..  
 
51 F Sarah RAY was born 3 Feb 1786 in Middleborough ?, Vermont. She died 16 September 1830.
