Friends may call at the Van Buskirk-Lynch Funeral Home, Friday, 4 to 9 p.m. Funeral there Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery. She is survived by her children, John J. Mansfield of Orlando, FL and Mrs. Durwood (June) Weathers and Mrs. Herbert (Arlene) Morris, both of Tucson, AZ; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Helen Phillips of Dresden, NY, Mrs. Glen (Mary) Burkholder of Barberton, OH, Mrs. Leora Vetter of Doylestown, PA, Mrs. Charles (Gertrude) Burchard of Tucson, AZ; brothers, Henry Searles of Mt. Holly, NJ, Raymond Searles of Horseheads, Lawrence Searles of Orlando, FL and Frank Searles of Himrod, NY. Mrs. Mansfield was a retired machinist for Mercury Aircraft of Hammondsport, NY.
SEARLES, Horace E., age 80 of Dresden, NY, Saturday, January 22, 1977 at the V.A. Hospital in Bath. No prior calling hours. Private funeral service at the Weldon Funeral Home, Penn Yan, NY. Survived by his wife, Hildred; three sons, Harold, of Himrod, Wayne of Albany, GA. and Joe of Dresden; one daughter, Mrs. John (Patricia) Higginbatham of Macon, GA., four brothers, Henry of Trenton, Raymond of Elmira Heights, Lawrence of Orlando, FL. and Frank of Himrod; five sisters, Mildred Mansfield and Gertrude Burchard both of Tucson, AZ, Leora Vetter, Doylestown, PA, Mary Burkholder, Akron, OH, and Helen Phillips of Dresden; 10 grandchildren. SEARLES, Leroy, 74, died at the farm home, east of Dundee at Starkey, Saturday, July 30, 1938 following an extended illness. He was born Sept. 18, 1863 and was married to Miss Carrie Elizabeth Lyon, Jan. 9, 1895. The family moved to Dundee from Horseheads in 1921, and started their large poultry farm at Starkey. Mr. Searles was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Penn Yan. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Miss Frances Searles of Rochester and Miss Grace Searles of New York City; five sons, Wilbur, Herbert, Victor and Burke, all of New York City; Jesse and Walter of Dundee; two brothers, Joseph of Cayuta and Burt of Illinois; a sister, Isabel of Indiana. Funeral service was held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the home. Rev. J. G. Cole of Geneva and Rev. A. Ruskin of Lakemont officiated. Lakemont Cemetery.
