Once upon a time, I had another website that had cemetery lists on it.
As time went by, I noticed a lot of other people had some of the same
information that I had, and that my pages were not that useful anymore.
So I was sitting here one day and realized that I had in my possession,
a very valuable resource that other researchers might be interested in.
You see, for years now, I have been collecting obituaries.
So...
This website contains typed obituaries and other information for people
who were buried in several East Texas counties. There is no way I could find everyone's obituary, but I do have copies of more than 1500 in my files. The obituaries
originiated in local newspapers and the
information was gathered from various other sources which are
noted on the individual pages. Names that have a * beside
them denote the fact that while I do have a copy of that
individuals obituary, or other information concerning them, I have
not had time to put it online. You can email me to find out what info I have. Please enter the name of the cemetery
that you are interested in on the subject line.
The index lists of cemeterys for each county were compiled using the USGenweb's Cemetery Transcription Project, the USGenweb's individual county pages and other sources. If you know of any errors, please contact me. I want this to be as accurate as possible.
To access the information: Click on the county that the cemetery is
located in. Then click on the cemetery's name. Find the person you
are interested in and click on their name. This will take you to the
information about that person.
