Bobby Joe Ashton

Services for Bobby Joe Ashton, 73, of Eustace were held 2 p.m. Thursday,
Sept. 11, 2003, in Payne Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Rose
officiating and under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home
of Mabank. Mr. Ashton died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, in Tyler. He was born
Feb. 8, 1930, in Henderson County. He was a concrete contractor and a
veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include wife, Sue Ashton of Eustace;
step-son, Blake Altman of Kemp; step-daughters, Kristy Blackard of Mabank,
Renea McKinnon of Littlefield, Texas; daughter, Barbara Privott of Mt.
Vernon, Texas; brothers, Arvie Lee Ashton of Payne Springs, Edgar (Bud)
Ashton of Trinidad, Ricky Glenn Ashton of Amarillo; sister, Helen Ann Rose
of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, eight great
great grandchildren. Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday,
Sept. 9, 2003, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice
