Ruby (June) Walker

Services for Ruby (June) Walker, 64, of Rt. 1, Box 372-B, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday
in the Bailey Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Tennessee Colony Cemetery under
the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. Mrs. Walker died in Anderson County Memorial
Hospital this morning. Born in Winters, Texas on June 28, 1920, Mrs. Walker was a
daughter of Major Reed and Mary Anna Williams Workman. She was the office manager for
the Southwest Memorial Hospital in Houston prior to retiring in 1975. Prior to her death,
Mrs. Walker had requested that any memorials be in the form of donations to the Anderson
County Humane Society because of her fondness for small animals, especially dogs. Mrs.
Walker is survived by a son, Norman Knox Walker of Houston; a daughter, Sandra Weilacher
of Dallas; two grandchildren; a brother, Emmett Workman of Palestine; two sisters, Carrie
Hilton and Bula Irwin, both of Palestine, and several nieces and nephews. Nephews will
serve as pallbearers. The family will receive condolence calls at the Workman residence
in Quail Valley and at the Irwin residence at Circle R Lake.
