Fred Guy "Hawkshaw" "Boo" McKenzie

Services for Fred Guy "Hawkshaw, Boo" McKenzie, 88, of Palestine, were
at 2 p.m. today at Tennessee Colony Church with the Rev. Lyle Huntress
officiating. Burial followed in Tennessee Colony Cemetery under the
direction of Bailey & Foster. Mr. McKenzie died Tuesday night at Greenbrier
Nursing Home. He was born March 23, 1914, in Tennessee Colony, to Martin
Eugene and Lydia Gore McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was a packer and worked for
Glass Containers. He was a member of Glass Bottle Blowers Union No. 86. He
was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife,
Melba Tucker McKenzie, in 1983; sisters, Bernice Graham and Sybil Campodonico;
and brothers, Harry McKenzie, Ralph McKenzie and Ray McKenzie. Pallbearers
were Jack Williams Jr., Jerry Cleveland, Jeff Cleveland, Rance Graham, Mike
McKenzie and Don McKenzie. Honorary pallbearers were John Tyer and Jimmy Frazier.
