Hazel Johnson

Services for Hazel McCann Johnson, 76, of Houston, were today at Starr Cemetery with
the Rev. Ben Reily officiating. Burial was under the direction of Bailey & Foster
Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson died Saturday in a Houston hospital. She was born August
2, 1911, in Anderson County, a daughter of Barton B. and Lidia Ross McCann. She was
a retired beautician, having worked in Palestine and Houston. She was a former member
of Grace United Methodist Church in Palestine. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Hardy
of Houston; son, James E. Johnson of Tiaha, Okla.; sisters, Ruby Phillips of Fort Worth
and Oma Case of Odessa; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers
were David Johnson, Don C. Hardy and Tim W. Hardy.
