Nelwyn Jean Camp

Services for Nelwyn Jean Camp, 76, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at
Herrington/Land of Memory Chapel with Craig Harris officiating. Burial will
follow at Starr Cemetery in Elkhart under the direction of Herrington/Land of
Memory Funeral Home. Mrs. Camp died Sunday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born Aug 2, 1925, in Rusk County to William Madison "Bill" Langston and
Carrie Virginia Herrin Langston. Mrs. Camp had lived in Palestine all of her life.
She was a Christian. She worked as a seamstress at the Industrial Garment Factory
and later at Southside Elementary cafeteria. Mrs. Camp was preceded in death by
her husband, Homer Camp; daughter, Patsy Taff; and brothers, Meredith Langston,
Bub Langston, Don Langston and Harold Langston. She is survived by sons, Buz Camp
and Ronald Camp, both of Palestine; stepson, Preston McCormick of Wiley; brothers,
Bob Langston of Phoenix and Jack Langston of Tyler; sister, Bedtty Douthit of
Palestine; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be
John Camp, Robert Yorgensen, Andy Cleveland, Mark Converse, Eddie Cooksey and Dustin
Dennis. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
