Pleasant H. Aulds

Services for Pleasant H. Aulds, 85, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at
Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Royal officiating. Burial will be in
Starr Cemetery. Mr. Aulds died Monday in Park Place Nursing Center. He was born
Jan 15, 1905, in Montalba, a son of William H. Aulds and Betty E. Matlock Aulds.
He was a deacon at Southside Baptist Church, taught Sunday school and was a member
of the adult men's Fishers Class. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and served
in the Army and Navy during World War II. He was a retired petroleum truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Nelia Mae Rawls Aulds of Palestine; and a brother, W.C.
Aulds of Ukiah, Calif. Pallbearers will be Curtis Jordan, Hershall Cotten, Robert
Wells, Harmon Watts, G.R. Forester, Jack Moody, Vonzo Chaffin and Theron B. Wilson.
