Joseph Edouard Angly

Joseph Angly, along with former Texas Gov. T.M. Campbell and his son, organized the Campbell
State Bank in 1911. That bank merged with another and in 1924 became the East Texas National
Bank with Joseph Angly as its first president. He was chairman of the board when he died in
1953. Born in Urbes, France, he was the husband of Anna Carson Angly
