Martha Ann Thomas Vineyard

Funeral services for Martha Vineyard, 89, of 1014 Salt Works Road, will be at 3 p.m.
Tuesday in the Hassell & Foster Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. Lynn Parker and the Rev.
Charles Winesburgh officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Park Cemetery. Mrs. Vineyard
died early this morning at Anderson County Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. The
former Martha Ann Thomas, she was born August 10, 1894, a daughter of Samuel Thomas and
Missie Black Thomas. She was a lifelong resident of Anderson County and was a member of
the First Baptist Church. Her husband, Clinton S. Vineyard, died March 13, 1971. Survivors
include three sons, Wesley Vineyard and David Vineyard, both of Palestine, and Don Vineyard
of Blanchard, La.; two daughters, Mrs. H.S. (Ellen) Miller of Palestine and Mrs. Edward
(Ruth) Scheible of San Antonio; a brother, William Thomas of Mangum, Okla,; 13 grandchildren;
28 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Condolence calls will be received
