Annette Curry Seckler

Services for Annette Curry Seckler, 58, of Elkhart will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at
Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Revs. Willie Reagan and Dennis Morgan officiating.
Burial will follow in Roselawn Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey
& Foster. Mrs. Seckler died Sunday afternoon at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
She was born Jan. 30, 1945 in Palestine to John Boyd Kennedy Sr. and Ruby Jo Morris
Kennedy. Mrs. Seckler was a homemaker and a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
She also was a member of the Nu Mu Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi in Lake Jackson.
Mrs. Seckler was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Larry W. Curry,
in 1998; and two brothers, Charlie Kennedy and John Boyd Kennedy Jr. She is survived
by her husband, Joe C. Seckler of Elkhart; daughters, Kristi Curry Lauw and husband
Rick of Denham Springs, La., and Meredith Curry Grant and husband Paul of Flint; son,
Gregg Curry and wife Barbara of Lake Jackson; stepdaughter, Teresa McCloud and husband
Doug of Houston; sisters, Diana Funderburk of Tow, Linda Pendland of Palestine, Kay
Denson and husband Harold of Elkhart, Nancy Curry of Jacksonville, and Mary Seeber of
Midland, Mich.; brother, E.E. "Buddy" Kennedy and wife Pat of Lake Jackson; and two
grandchildren, Ashley Lauw and Bryan Lauw. Pallbearers will be L.B. Pierson, Doris
Pierson, Luther Gulledge, Bill Funderburk, Eric Seagler, and Billy Redus. Honorary
pallbearers will be Harold Dennis and Carl Curry. Condolence calls will be received
from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be
