Flora Marie Phillips

Services for Flora Marie Phillips, 83, of Palestine will be at 10 a.m. Monday
at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Hall Jr. officiating. Burial
will be in Roselawn Park under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Mrs. Phillips
died Friday in a local nursing home. She was born March 9, 1920, in Mississippi
to Howard and Ota Watkins Allsup. Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Betty Jean Gonzales.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by her husband, Herman Phillips of Palestine; daughters,
Dimple Ann Patrick of Huffman and Deborah Kay Neill of Humble; a son, Harold Lee
Phillips of Mound Prairie; eight grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Justin Thomas, Brian Stanaland, Johnny Nugent, Jerry Neill,
David Brown and Andy Gonzales. Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m.
today at the funeral home.
