William K. Mead

Services for William K. Mead, 75, of De Soto, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Bailey &
Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn
Park. Mr. Mead died Friday at Methodist Medical Center in Dallas. He was born Nov 4,
1914, in Taylor, a son of Arthur Mead and Katherine Elizabeth Kestler Mead. He was
reared in Palestine and graduated from Palestine High School. Prior to retiring, he was
a machinist supervisor for Dresser Industries in Dallas. He was a member of First United
Methodist Church in De Soto and Gibraltar Lodge AF&AM in Dallas. He was preceded in
death by his brothers, Arthur Mead, John Mead, Walter Mead and David Mead. He is survived
by his wife, Winniferd Noble Mead of De Soto; a daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Winnie Mead)
Taylor of Spring; a son, Ralph W. Mead of Spring; a sister, Katherine L. Mead of Palestine;
six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
