Anita Joyce Killion

Services for Anita Joyce Killion, 78, of Palestine will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the
Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Randy Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in
Roselawn Park. Mrs. Killion died Friday at Palestine Regional Medical Center. She was
born April 1, 1925, in Navarro County to Elvis L. "Mike" Gilmore and Mable Day Gilmore.
Mrs. Killion was a member of Fields Chapel United Methodist Church. She graduated from
Elkhart High School, Lon Morris Junior College and attended Nixon's Business College.
She worked for Campbell & Kay in New Mexico and was employed 10 years in Palestine for
Missouri-Pacific Railroad. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband,
Edd V. Killion, who died in March 2003. Mrs. Killion is survived by daughters, Tina Bartz
and husband Robert of Jacksonville and Tami Killion of Palestine; grandchildren, Kaylyn
Bartz and Torian Jaubert; and great-grandchildren, Jeremy Battle Jr. and Ashton Jaubert.
Pallbearers will be Roy Gilmore, Randall Gilmore, Smokey Killion, David Killion, Roger
Jones, Bob Jones and Mike Walling. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy, Justin, Wes and
Coy Killion. Condolence calls will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
