Services for Jack Deal, 76, of Palestine, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Bailey & Foster
Funeral Home with Dan Manuel officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Park. Mr. Deal
died Thursday in Villa Inn Nursing Home. He was born Sept 5, 1913, in Edna, a son of
Clifford Edgar Deal and Sara Elizabeth Climer Deal. He was a member of Crockett Road
Church of Christ and worked as an independent plaster contractor in Victoria for 30
years. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Deal of Palestine; daughters, Rose Marie
Blott of Miami, Fla. and Sandra Ratliff of Alvarado; a son, Edgar Jackson Deal Jr. of
Houston; a sister, Helen Poche of Alvarado; brothers, Clifford E. Deal and Glenn Deal,
both of Alvarado and Climer Deal of Terrell; 11 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Condolences will be received from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mr.
Deal's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
