Lorrain Gilcrease

Services for Lorrain Gilcrease, 72, of Palestine, will be at 4 p.m.
today in the Hassell & Foster Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. Jack Smith
officiating. Burial will be in the Land of Memory Cemetery. Mrs.
Gilcrease died Saturday morning in the Anderson County Memorial
Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born March 18, 1912, a daughter
of Arthur Dalon and Katie Dwyer Dalon. She was a member of the Catholic
Church and had lived in Palestine for the past 13 years. Her daughter,
Pamela Sue Taylor, died in 1977 and her granddaughters, Dee Ann Taylor,
died in 1976. Survivors include her husband, Richard M. Gilcrease; a
daughter, Mary Taylor of Palestine; a brother, Norman Dalon of New Orleans,
La.; six grandchildren, and a great grandchild. Condolence calls will be
received at 311 Thomas Road, telephone 729-7450 or 729-1962. Pallbearers
will be Glen Higgins, Dick Adams, Lynn Taylore, Jay Seghers, Walter
Catourie, Harold Taylor and Johnny Taylor.
