Lorene Shaver Fincher

Services for Lorene Fincher, 92, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bailey
& Foster Chapel with Dr. Betty Wilson and the Rev. Dean Easterly officiating. Burial
will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster,
Palestine. Mrs. Fincher died Wednesday at Cartmell Home for the Aged. She was born
Aug. 18, 1919, in Palestine to Marion and Anna Jones Shaver. Mrs. Fincher was a
homemaker and a member of Watson Evangelistic Temple. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Ben Fincher; sister, Doris West; and brothers, L.B. Shaver, Archie Shaver,
Wesley Shaver, Jesse Shaver and Clarence Shaver. Mrs. Fincher is survived by daughters,
Betty McCann of Palestine and Del Freida Wages of Elkhart; son, Pon Fincher of Elkhart;
sister, Dora Ortega of Elkhart; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chuch Nelson, Matt Phillips, Sam Blackmon, Randy Wages, Stan Wages
and Mike Shaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Buck Fincher, Jack Fincher and H.C. Wilson.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
