Information
William B. Robinson
Born: 23 July 1878 Died: 20 Feb 1965
As per info from the book: Pioneer Familys of Anderson County
Prior to 1900: It is possible, that he was actually William
Brice Robinson II and that he was the son of G. Springs and Mary
(Dunn) Robinson. If so, he came to Anderson County in the 1890's
with his parents, his uncle Lee (Z.L), and his aunt Margaret
(Mrs. Gray Boulware) from Lancaster County, S.C. By 1928, he was
working in the Robinson State Bank and Trust Company as a cashier
with Uncle Lee as president. He never married, but worked hard and
accumulated quite a fortune. After his death, all his estate was
willed to three organizations: the First Presbyterian Church of
Palestine where he'd been an active member and served as elder,
the Presbyterian Village (for retirees) in Dallas, and a fund was
established to aid in the establishing of Presbyterian churches
in the oil field area of East Texas.
