Carolina Calhoun Bonner Gardner

As per info from the book: Pioneer Familys of Anderson County Prior to 1900:
She was born in Wilcox Co., Ala on Sept 19, 1857, the seventh child of Reverend
and Mrs. T.J. Bonner. Her full name was Carolina "Carrie" Calhoun Bonner and
stories say that she was a vivacious slip of a girl when she met the tall,
extremely handsome, brilliant young man whom she was destined to marry. Benjamin
Howard Gardner and she were married in Freestone Co., TX. On 29 June 1881.
She was valedictorian of her class at Due West Female College in Due West, S.C.
and became a wise, loving wife and mother after their marriage. They had eight
children: Harriet Lucile Gardner, Annie Joe Gardner, Bonner Gardner, Willie Pearl
Gardner, Flossie Belle Gardner, Mattie-Cad Gardner, Luella Posey Gardner, &
Benjamin H. Gardner, Jr. She died on 06 July 1929.
