Ambrose Burns

Graveside services for Ambrose Burns, 72, of Palestine were held
Monday morning in the East Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Juan Trevino
officiating. Bailey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Burns died Saturday in Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
A native of Ft. Worth, he was born Aug 5, 1912 to the late Lloyd
Hughes and Sophia Ambrose Burns. He was a graduate of Texas A&M
University, graduating in 1934 with a degree in chemical engineering
and was associated with the Gulf Oil Corp. until his retirement. He
was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Palestine.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Bowdon Burns; two brothers, John
Burns of Montgomery, Ala., and Harry Burns of Fort Worth.
