Mattie Lee Ragsdale Hanks

Services for Mattie Lee Hanks, 86, of Montalba will be at 1 p.m.
Monday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Theo Johnson
officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. Arrangements
are under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Mrs. Hanks died Friday
morning at Hospice Home Place in Tyler. She was a resident of
Cartmell Home for the Aged. Mrs. Hanks was born Aug. 22, 1917 in
Tioga to William and Willie Grace Averette Ragsdale. She was a
member of the Montalba Baptist Church and was retied from Texas
Instruments. Mrs. Hanks was preceded in death by her parents;
husband, S.E. Hanks; sisters, Margaret Ann Berger and Nanette Riley;
and brother, Chalres Keller. She is survived by her sister, Shirley
Mullins and husband Gene of Palestine; brother, Boyd Keller and wife
Barbara of Florida; stepdaughter, Billie Dell Collins of Colmesneil;
and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dale Hanks, Don
Hanks, W.H. Ward, Orville Wilbanks, Boyd Keller, and Gene Mullins,
Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Joe Rowland and Lynn Burger.
Condolence calls will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Monday before
the service.
