Willie Henry Gatlin

TYLER - Services for Willie Henry Gatlin, 82, of Tyler, will be at
3:30 p.m. Friday at Bailey and Foster Funeral Home with the Rev.
Lester Vogler officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery. Mr.
Gatlin died Wednesday in Medical Center Hospital in Tyler. He was
born May 27, 1908 in Anderson County, to Mitchell S. Gatlin and
Nannie Elizabeth Mills Gatlin. He was a member of Sheridan Terrace
Baptist Church and a retired insurance salesman. Mr. Gatlin is
survived by his wife, Jessie Fitzgerald Gatlin of Tyler; daughters
Veda Ashby and Barbara Vest, both of Tyler; Bonnie Siman of
Vidalia, Ga., and Ruth Shipper of Palestine; son William "Dub"
Gatlin of Pasadena; 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and
two great great grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at
the funeral home.
