Henry W. Dupont

Services for Henry W. Dupont, 93, of Palestine, will be
at 2 p.m. Satufday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with the
Revs. Mel Newman and Paul Neumann officiating. Burial will
be in Chambers Cemetery under the direction of Bailey &
Foster Funeral Home. Mr. Dupont died Thursday in Memorial
Hospital. He was born Sept 16, 1897, in New Orleans, a son
of Paul and Mary Seim Dupont. Mr. Dupont was a member of
Bethlehem Lutheran Church, having been confirmed April 3, 1910.
From 1915 to 1928 he worked for the railroad in New Orleans,
and from 1929 to 1934, he worked for Missouri-Pacific Railroad
in Palestine. In both New Orleans and Palestine, he worked in
the lost freight claims department. He worked for the U.S.
Postal Service as a city mail carrier from 1935 to 1962, when
he retired. He is survived by his wife, Inez Chambers Dupont
of Palestine; and a sister, Cleo Kleine of Mandeville, La.
Pallbearers will be Victor Wunderlich, Walter Gruetzner, Ray
Hughes, Ken Koehler, Ed McKenzie, Bud Thomas, Henry Lawson
and James Taylor.
