Services for Rillie Turrentine, 90, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m.
Saturday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with Dan Manuel officiating.
Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Mrs. Turrentine died Wednesday
afternoon at Trinity Valley Medical Center. She was born in Anderson County
on March 26, 1906 to Joseph D. and Ola Fitzgerald Williams. Mrs. Turrentine was
a homemaker and a member of the Crockett Road Church of Christ. She also was a
member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Foy E. Turrentine in 1990. She is survived by daughters,
Joyce Gurganus of Palestine and Martha Weems of Crosby; sons, James Turrentine of
San Antonio and Gene Turrentine of Bethel; brother, Clayton Williams of Palestine;
eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Condolence calls will be received
from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
