Braxton Bell

BETHEL - Services for Braxton Bell, 73, of Cayuga, will be at 3 p.m. Monday
at Judson Baptist Church in Cayuga with the Rev. Dale Norris officiating.
Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster
Funeral Home. Mr. Bell died Saturday at his home. He was born Jan. 3, 1921,
in Arapahoe, N.C., to Ross Lee and Minnie Brinson Bell. He was retired from
the U.S. Coast Guard with 24 years of service and was last employed as a
maintenance supervisor by the Cayuga school district. He was a deacon at
Judson Baptist Church. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Keel
Bell, in 1976. He is survived by his wife, Ola Belle Keel Bell of Cayuga;
daughters, Joan Moore of Gilmer, Barbara Hughes of Sachse, Bonnie Kelly of
Palestine and Jennifer Bell of Cayuga; son, Paul Bell of Longview; sister,
Leola Cuthrell of Melbourne, Fla.; brothers, Albert Bell of New Bern, N.C.
and David Bell of Arapahoe; and 10 grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as
pallbearers. Condolence calls will be received at the funeral home from
7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today.
