Mrs Mary E. (sic) Burpee, formerly of Lewiston, died suddenly Friday at the New England hospital, Roxbury, Mass. Of late she had made her home with her son, Henry J. Burpee of Saugus, Mass.
Mrs. Burpee was born in Brewer, April 1, 1867 (sic), the daughter of Joseph and Mary E. Mutty. She lived in Lewiston several years.
Surviving are eight sons, Arthur J. of Bucksport, Henry J. of Saugus, Mass.; C. Herbert of Portland; Edward J. of Newark, N.J.; Augustine W. of Lyman, Mass.; George W., Lewis L. and Walter W. of Lewiston; three daughters, Mrs. Alice J. Swindells of Lewiston, Mrs. Bernice J. Hathaway and Dorothy W. Burpee of Augusta. She is also survived by nine brothers and three sisters.
FUNERAL NOTICE
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary C. Burpee will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Joseph's Church.
