Spectator 1.10.1938 OBITUARY Mrs John Cotter wife of Mr John Cotter, sen., has died at Carapook, at the age of 67 years. She had not enjoyed good health for the past twelve months. She was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs McCallum and was born at Digby. Practically her whole life was spent in the Carapook district. The late Mrs Cotter and Mr Cotter resided in turn at Digby and Casterton before settled permanently at Carapook. Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters and six sons, Irene (Mrs W Owens, Glenorchy), Kathleen (Mrs M O'Brien, Carapook), Kitty (Mrs J Grinham, Merino), and Messrs. William (Hamilton), Archie (Donald), Charles, John, Donald and James, all of Carapook. Mrs Cotters only surviving sister is Mrs W Cross of Wallacedale, and her four surviving brothers are Messrs. William and John McCallum (Digby), James (Wallacedale), and Archibald McCallum (Kalgoorlie, W.A.). A brother, Mr Dugald McCallum of Wallacedale, and two sisters, Millie (Mrs C Doughney) and Annie (Mrs R Brunton) predeceased her. The funeral took place at the Sandford Cemetery on Wednesday. The graveside service was conducted by the Rev. N McDonald. Funeral arrangements were in the hands of Mr C.A. Anderson.
