His will is dated 1st December 1741. He starts by saying "I Thomas Jennings of the parish of Deptford in the county of Kent but now residing in Buenos Aires in South America....Apart from several other members of his family, he specifically mentions his "father William and mother Mary Jennings," also his "half brothers John and Joseph Jennings" as living in the Halesowen area.
"The will was proved at London before the worshipful doctor Robert Chapman, Doctor of Laws, surrogate of the right worshipfull John Bettesworth, Doctor of Laws, Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerrogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted the nineteenth day of December 1743 by the oath of James Kettle, one of the executors named in the said will, to whom administration was granted"
