Neville Alexander ADAMS ¹⁷

  General Notes:

The " black sheep" of the family, Neville appears to have always sailed close to the wind and getting himself into trouble but not in a criminal sense. An example is the anecdote of when he was in his final years of school his father arranged a place for him at Massey College, gave him sufficient money for board and lodgings and sent him off. Neville used the money to pay a deposit on a smart Coupe in which he returned some days later with no money left! His father then made him work in the factory to help him pay what he owed and he did so until called up for active duty in the Second World War. He served in Egypt.

Neville married Joyce Helena STEELE, daughter of John Alexander STEELE and Hertha Maria MOLLER, on 29 Apr 1944 in New Plymouth,Taranaki,New Zealand. (Joyce Helena STEELE was born on 19 Dec 1922 in Opunake,Taranaki,New Zealand,¹⁹ died on 18 May 2009 in Parkwood Home,Linwood,Christchurch,Canterbury,New Zealand and was cremated on 22 May 2009 in Canterbury Crematorium,Christchurch,Canterbury,New Zealand.)
