A SOLICITOR COMMITTED FOR TRIAL.

Nelson, this day. Mr C. Bunny, solicitor, was charged yesterday with receiving £70 from Mrs Chapman, for the purchase of certain land from Mr Pearce, of Wellington, and converting the same to his own use and benefit. He was ultimately committed to take his trial at the sittings of the Supreme Court, bail being allowed accused in £200, and two sureties of £100 each. Bail was forthcoming. [Mr C. Bunny is a son of Mr Henry Bunny, formerly Provincial Secretary at Wellington, and for many years a member of the House of Representatives. Ed. Herald.]
