bullet  General Notes:

William Horn's father was Jacob Horn but his mother seems to be in question. Jacob married two women, Elizabeth (LNU) and Millicent Thomas (married abt. 1781). Records reflect that William was born about 1778/1779 which would make him a son of the first marriage and Elizabeth his mother.

William married Nancy Holland, D/O Henry Holland, on February 26, 1800 in Edgecombe Co., NC. Nancy died on April 8, 1829 in the same county. William then married Nancy's sister, Mary (Holland) Sykes, a widow, between 1829 - 1839. "Kinfolks of Nash County North Carolina 1778-1854" by Joseph W. Watson [Pub: Fisher-Harrison Corp, Durham, NC, 1979, Pg. 232] gives proof of the relationship between William Horn and the Holland family.
William Horn is shown on many family trees with varying birth years. The bible of Rebecca J. (Fitzgerald) Horn, wife of William B. Horn who was the oldest son of Henry H. Horn, shows "Grandfather William Horn born 1779". This same bible shows the death for William Horn as "Grandfather William Horn 1856 age 77". There are many who show his full death date as being "February 6, 1856" in Choctaw Co., AL.
No burial place has been located for William Horn to date.
We suspect that he might be buried in the Sardis Cemetery or the Pushmataha Episcopal Cemetery in Choctaw Co., AL. His widow, Mary (Holland) Horn is found in that area on the 1860 census. She is living next door to her stepson (who's also her nephew) William T. Horn and his family. We have not found her on a census since 1860 so it's possible she died between 1860 and 1870. If so, Mary (Holland) Horn may also be buried in the Sardis Cemetery or Pushmataha Episcopal Cemetery, Pushmataha, Choctaw Co., AL. We've found William Thomas Horn and many of his family buried in the Pushmataha Episcopal Cemetery.
