The funeral took place yesterday of the late Mr Richard Percival, an old resident of the city, who died at his residence. Brook street, on Monday last at the advanced age of 85. Mr Percival was born at Eye, in Herefordshire, England, and came out to Nelson with his wife and one child (who was born at St.Catherine's Docks, London, previous to the sailing of the vessel) by the ship "Inchinnan," in the year 1856.-. He was a plasterer and bricklayer by trade. which occupation he followed' after his arrival in the Dominion. Mr Percival was of a kindly and genial disposition., and was active until within a few days of his death, which, was due to an attack of "bronchitis. Mrs Percival and her family will' have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their bereavement. Besides the widow, the surviving members of the family number six sons and two daughters, namely, Messrs Thomas S. Percival (Hastings), A. Spencer Percival (Tadmor), Gaorge H. Percival (West Australia), Charles R. Percival. (Nelson), Fred W. Percival and Jas. E. Percival (Wanganui), Mrs A. R. Kitehing (Nelson), and Mrs Ghas. Poynter (Wanganui). There are also living 37 grandchildren and- four great-grandchildren
