MR. J. H. S. HILDRETH.
The death occurred last Friday of Mr. J.. H. S. Hildreth, manager of Messrs. W. T. Hildreth and Son. - The late; Mr. Hildreth, who was 41 years of.age,: had not beeri well for some time past, and recently he fell heavily down some concrete, steps,, fracturing his shoulder. The shock, combined with his weak state of health, caused his death. Like his, father, Mr. William: Hildreth, the. deceased was a member of the Wellington Fire Police; and he was,.accorded fireman's funeral yesterday afternoon.; The pail-bearers were the deceased's comrades in the fire police, Captain F. J..Ballinger, and Lieutenants E.H. Harlen, M.D. Stewart, arid D. Russell.. Foreinan Ladbrook was in charge of the permanent brigadesmen. The services at Morris's Memorial Chapel and at the graveside at Karori were conducted by Colonel J. J. Toomer, of the Salvation. Army.'
