He arrived in NSW as a convict in 1839 aboard the ship "Theresa". He was sentenced to 10 years for stealing hardware. The ship sailed from Sheerness, England on 10th Oct 1838 with 266 male convicts. Arrived Sydney 31st Jan 1839. For some reason none of Peter and Maria's children were registered.
Peter married Maria NORRIS, daughter of John NORRIS and Rachel EATHER, on 14 Sep 1859 in Liverpool,New South Wales,Australia. (Maria NORRIS was born circa 1824 in Richmond,New South Wales,Australia and died in 1903 in Narrabri,,New South Wales,Australia.)
