Percy Bell CALDER 156
Percy Calder lived in Old Wharf Rd., Motueka. His mother-in-law IsabellaTrewavas lived with them in a bed-sitter. Percy was involved in commercial fishing and smoking fish during the great depression of the1930's. Later he worked making pre-stressed concrete power poles. He liked to keep up with the latest technology and installed petrol lighting in 1930, then battery powered electric lighting in early 1930's. He also had an Atwater Kent 8 valve SuperHit radio in 1930.
• Alt. Birth, Abt 1886. 156 Percy married Leila Sibyl TREWAVAS, daughter of Richard James TREWAVAS and Isabella DUNCAN, in 1916.156 (Leila Sibyl TREWAVAS was born on 13 Oct 1894 in Motueka,Nelson,New Zealand and died on 23 May 1961 in Motueka,Nelson,New Zealand.)
