The wedding was solemnised by the Rev. H. E. K. Fry in St. James's Church, Lower Hutt, between Ida, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Urbahn, and Raymond, son of Mr. M. C. Fisher and the late Mrs. Fisher.
The bride was escorted by her father. Her trained gown of ivory lace, cut on classical lines, was cowled at the neck and fastened with an heirloom brooch. The veil of embroidered tulle was gathered to a pleated halo. A bouquet was carried of asters and carnations in shades of pale pink and white, arranged with maidenhair fern. Miss Olga Ericson, the bridesmaid, wore a shell pink frock of stiffened net over coinspot taffetas, with a Victorian posy holding the draped neck. Her bouquet was of pink gladioli and carnations.

A reception was held in the Hibernian Hall at Lower Hutt. Mrs. Urbahn, wearing a navy tailleur and smart navy toque with navy accessories, was assisted in receiving the guests by the bridegroom's mother, in a navy silk coat over floral silk, and navy hat. The bride travelled in navy coat, frock, and hat, with accessories to tone.
