  General Notes:

OPR Campsie - James Tagg, Printer, Lennoxtown and Anne Reid his spouse had twins baptized named the elder one, John and the younger one Robert Dalgleish. Witnesses James McKerrow, Surgeon and William McKerrow, Writer. 5 Oct 1819.

Application for Relief. Parish of Govan Combination. No.98356. 20 Jan 1891.
John Tagg, 20 Summerfield Cottages, Whiteinch. Blockcutter. Wholly disabled,
supposed insanity. Living with wife, Martha Stewart, his daughter Martha and her
three children. Seven other children not living with family. Daughter Martha
applied for his removal. Children- Annie gave 5/- per week, William 5/- per week
and Martha has income of 12/- per week. Has lived in present house for about
17years. Has been off work for 6months but has done little for years. Rent of
house £11.10/-. Settlement of 8/- per week sent to daughter Martha. John Tagg
certified insane and admitted to Govan Asylum 21 Jan 1891. Died in poorhouse
25Jan1891.

Elizabeth, John is the son of James Tagg (son of John Tagg & Susan
Sylvester) & Anne Reid who were married in Campsie in 1818. John died in
1891 in the Govan Poorhouse. He is my 4th Great Grandfather. Hope this
