John Hodder MOGGRIDGE
- Born: 1771, Bradford-On-Avon, Wiltshire, England
- Marriage (1): Sarah JEFFEREYS on 12 May 1795 in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, England
- Marriage (2): Charlotte Mary GIFFORD in 1822 in Swansea, , Glamorganshire, Wales
- Died: 1834, France at age 63
In 1805 or thereabouts he inherited the manor of Dymock in Gloucestershire from Ann Cam of Battersea who held other estates in the Dymock area as well.
The main property was Boyce Court (otherwise known as Boyce Place or The Boyce) at Dymock and it is clear that he lived there before he actually inherited it. His sister Elizabeth Hawkins Moggridge, spinster, was living there in 1794 and there are other references on the web to his living there prior to when he obtained the manor in his own right. He sold the place in 1812 and moved to Gwent where he became a magistrate, a mine owner, and developer of Blackwood Village near Mynyddyslwyn
