There is a Selina Mary McKENNA on the 1893 Elec Roll for Buller
res-Westport occ-Married. Also Selina Mary McKENNA (widow)
d.19 May 1924 in Nelson...her will is held at Nelson Court. This Selina is purported to be 70yrs at the time of death.
At some time after Albert's death, Selina sold the farm and moved (with her two youngest daughters and grandson Alfred) to Nelson.

Selina married Peter James McKENNA on 13 Jan 1873 in Roman Catholic Church, Westport, New Zealand. (Peter James McKENNA was born on 12 Aug 1840 in Cootehill, Cavan, Ulster, Ireland, died on 16 Dec 1910 in Westport, West Coast, New Zealand and was buried in Orowaiti, Westport, Westland, New Zealand.) The cause of his death was Stroke.


bullet  Marriage Notes:

Peter and Selina McKenna lived at Westport (then at Reefton) in the earlypart of their married lives, and often hired a gig for the 230 kilometretwo-day journey via Murchison to visit Selina's family at Pangatotara.For a short time in the 1880s, Peter ran an hotel at Paekakariki, northof Wellington, but the family soon returned to the West Coast, where theylived for a time at Hokitika. In later years, Peter and Selina returnedto Westport.
