Dr Samuel B. Vaughn and his family live in
Louisville, KY. Dr. Vaughn graduated with honors from Auburn
University, Auburn, Alabama School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984.
He is now a senior partner at Veterinary Associates in Stonefield,
KY. He manages and performs veterinary medicine, surgery, endoscopy
and all phases of companion animal practice. They have 18
employees and four veterinary doctors.
In 1985 he received Honor Certificate from Byerly Enterprises for
volunteer services involving nursing home visits with pets.
In 1991-1992 he was named to Who's Who in Veterinary Science and
Medicine.
In 1993 he received the Mayor's Award from the City of Louisville
for volunteer work during winter storm disaster.
Aug. 17, 2005 Dr. Vaughn was honored by Gov. Fletcher when he was
named to the Veterinary Board of Examiners. He was appointed
as a full member, a position held by only 10 veterinarians from the
State of Kentucky. |

Dr. Samuel B. Vaughn, a Veterinarian that lives in Louisville, KY is a
descendent of this family and it is believed this family may be
descended from Thomas Vaughn, born Aug. 16,
1776 and died 1850 in Webster Co. KY. Dr. Vaughn is related to
descendents of my ancestor, Joseph Vaughn, proven by DNA testing.
Samuel Gregory Vaughn was a farmer, horse trader and
horse doctor in Webster County, Kentucky. His wife was named
Cordilla Vaughn.
His son, Damon Alec Vaughn, was born Feb. 19,
1894 and died July 24, 1997 at age 103. He married Nannie
Skinner, the daughter of Alexander Watson and Ivy Ann Skinner.
Children of Damon Alec and Nannie Skinner Vaughn are:
1. Earl Wayne Vaughn, born July 7, 1925 and
died April 15, 2005 in Webster Co. KY
2. Damon Vaughn, born Oct. 3, 1920 and died
July 24, 1997 at Henderson KY.
