Miller Family History
My earliest MILLER ancestors are George Miller & Judith (WESNER) MILLER who married in Hagerstown, Maryland in May 1777. George was a Revolutionary War soldier. We have found much information about him from his R.W. Pension file. George & Judith were both born in Germany. George died in 1830 and Judith died after 1840. I have found no official documentation to prove their relationship to my GGG Grandfather Fredrick P. Miller. However, much circumstantial evidence supports that they were my earliest MILLER ancestors. They moved to Muhlenberg Co., Kentucky, later to Crawford Co.,Illinois and then to Franklin Co., Missouri where they died. Judith had two known brothers. One of them was George WESNER. My earliest proven MILLER ancestors are Fredrick P. & Mary (DURELL) MILLER who lived in Ohio, Muhlenberg, & Hopkins Counties in Kentucky. They died in Hopkins Co., Kentucky and are buried on the old farm where they lived between White Plains and Nortonville, Kentucky. I visited their graves in 1995.
