  • The census of 1940 shows:
    James Provencal, 38, dying overseer at a textile mill; and
    Evelyn Provencal, wife, 33; listed with
    James Provencal and Joanne Provencal
    living at 181 Stillwater Ave., Oldtown, Penobscot County, Maine.
    Both James and Evelyn were listed as having completed four years of high school.3



  • The Bangor City Directory 1941 lists:

  • In January 1948, Mrs. James V. Provencal Sr. of Needham was among the winners of the first month's Treasure Top contest run by Pepsi Cola Company throughout the country. The following month, Mrs. James V. Provencal Sr. won also.4
