1920 census, Concord Twp, Bureau Co, IL, has: Simon G. Horton, 38, Laborer ??, with wife, Mary Etta, 34, son Theodore, 14, son Wilmer, 13, son Thomas, 8, dau Margaret, 6, son Donald, 3 2/12, son George, 11/12.

1930 census, Buda, Bureau Co, IL, has: S. Garfield Horton, 48, frist married at 21, IL3, Laborer, Day work for town; with wife, Mary E., 44, first married at 18, IL, OH, IL, and dau Margaret E, 16, and son Donald F., 13.

Additional family notes:

Garfield was living in Buda, Jan 1944. He retired as a carpenter. Garfied Horton of Buda attended funeral of aunt Sarah in July 1950 in Kewanee.

Buda Plain Dealer, 9 Jun 1950, has Horton Reunion: "The same officers were appointed: Garfield Horton, president; Mrs. Alvin Smith, vice president; Ralph Horton of Galva, treasurer; and Mrs. Andrew Horton, secretary."

May Etta (Kinnick) Horton was living in Wyanet, IL, in 1923, per Jacob Kinnick estate. Nine children, three died in infancy.
