Joseph Shepherd married Mary Alice (Alice) Armstrong 21 Aug 1877. Joseph was born 31 Oct 1850, in Ohio. He died 29 Sep 1925. Alice was born 20 Jan 1853, in Ohio. She died 8 Jul 1928. Children of Joseph and Alice: 1. George H. Shepherd (b. 1878) married Laura E. (Eva) Smith 2. Lloyd Shepherd (b. 1880) married Belle McComaughy 3. John J. Shepherd (b. 1882) married Celiscia A. Fritter 4. Wade Hampton Shepherd (b. 1885). Never married. In the 1920 census, at age 34, he was living with his parents. 5. Joseph Hooker Shepherd (b. 1890) married Ethel M. Kirk
