This is the Jacob Rector page. He first married (?), and second married Frances Little, on 30 Jun 1839, in St. Joseph Co, Indiana.

Jacob was born 4 Mar 1810, in Charlestown, Rowan Co, North Carolina. He died 28 May 1880, in Emporia, Lyon Co, Kansas.

Children of Jacob and ? Rector:

1. Andrew J. Rector (b. 1833) married Margaret (surname unknown).

2. Marcus Lafayette Rector (b. 28 Mar 1835, IN; d. aft 1900) married Lydia Harriet Risling (b. abt 1845). They had a daughter, Mary Rector, who married William Simpson.

3. Mary Jane Rector (b. 17 Feb 1837, near Lakeville, St. Joseph Co, IN; d. 7 Apr 1921, St. Joseph Co, IN) married Joseph E. Henderson. They had two sons: Jacob Henderson (d. 1946) and George Henderson.

Children of Jacob and Frances Rector:

1. Evaline Rector (b. 5 Oct 1840, IN; d. Oct 1899) married George W. Lumpkins on 13 Apr 1862, in Lyon Co,KS.

2. John Wesley Rector (1842-1863) - per Jean Riper: age 23 yrs, 11 m, 5 d - died of fever - Civil War, buried Forest Hill, Hunter Cem, KS.

3. Josephine Rector (b. 1 Jun 1844, IN) married David M. Lillie on 15 Jan 1865, in Lyon Co, KS. He is believed to have served in the 9th Reg of Iowa Volunteers.

4. Isabella Rector (b. 1 Feb 1846, IN); with parents in Neosho Rapids, Jackson Twp, Lyon Co, KS, in 1870.

5. Sarah Ann Rector married Merritt Jackson McAlister

6. Jacob Ancle Rector (b. 3 Sep 1851, IN; d. 23 Dec 1925). He is listed as Teamster, with his brother, Franklin, in Jackson Twp, Lyon Co, KS, in 1900.

7. Franklin Pierce Rector married Carrie Chipman Shaver
